What I like in portrait photography is that every picture can be full of emotions, of meanings, sometimes only defined by small details, and every viewer can have his own understanding of them.
I also do some landscape photography and it doesn’t have the same appeal to me.
Sure it’s because I’m very limited by the places I can visit, but also I found that a lot of landscape images in my Instagram queue are all the same to my eyes.
There are very few of them that I remember for the picture itself, not for the place pictured and so, except for the first one I see, the others are meaningless to me.
Don’t get me wrong, there are wonderful landscape images out there, but in my opinion, few can achieve the beauty and emotions a portrait can offer.
